Sherry Boston is a trial lawyer who handles criminal defense cases including Vehicular Homicide, DUI cases, drug related cases and traffic matters. In 2006, 2007 and 2008 Sherry was named by Georgia Trend Magazine to Georgia’s Legal Elite recognizing her as one of the most effective lawyers in criminal defense. Additionally, in 2005, 2007, as well as 2008 she was named as a Georgia Super Lawyer Rising Star in Atlanta Magazine. This award recognizes lawyers 40 or younger as outstanding young attorneys. In 2004, she was awarded the Case of the Year Award by the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers for her handling of a case before the Georgia Supreme Court. In 2002, she was named Lawyer of the Year by DODD (Defense of Drinking Drivers) of Georgia. Sherry is a frequent speaker at DUI seminars including the 2004 National College of DUI Defense in San Diego, California. She routinely speaks at the DUI case law update at the ICLE Defense of Drinking Drivers in Atlanta. In 2003, she was an Instructor for law Enforcement Officers at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center. She is a 1999 graduate of Emory Law School where she was part of the Order of Barristers and Order of Advocates. She received her undergraduate degree from Villanova University in 1996. She is a Past Chair of the Atlanta Bar Association Criminal Law Section. Sherry is also an active member of the Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys, the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Georgia Association of Women Lawyers, Lawyers Club of Atlanta and a member of the State Bar of Georgia. |
